Terms of Service

1. The Service

Applyze lets you maintain a profile of your work history and skills, submit job descriptions for AI-generated fit and ATS feedback, generate tailored resume PDFs, track applications, and chat with an AI assistant grounded in your own data.

2. Your account

You're responsible for keeping your password confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information when creating your account and keep it up to date. We offer optional two-factor authentication if you'd like extra protection.

3. Subscriptions & billing

Applyze offers a free plan and paid Pro plans (billed monthly or yearly) with higher usage limits, as described on our pricing page. Paid subscriptions are billed in advance through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel anytime from Settings — cancelling stops future renewals but doesn't refund the current billing period. Prices and usage limits may change with reasonable notice.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to submit content you don't have the right to share
• Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or subscription-tier restrictions
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, or attempt to access accounts or data that aren't yours
• Use automated tools to scrape or extract data from the Service beyond normal use

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

5. AI-generated content

Applyze's resume feedback, scores, tailored resumes, insights, and chat responses are generated by AI and grounded in the information you provide — the AI is instructed not to invent experience, skills, or qualifications you didn't give it. Even so, AI output can be imperfect. You're responsible for reviewing anything Applyze generates — including tailored resumes — before sending it to an employer, and for making sure it accurately represents you. Applyze doesn't guarantee any particular score, interview, or job outcome.

6. Your content

You retain ownership of the profile information, resumes, and job descriptions you submit. You grant us a limited license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you (e.g., sending it to our AI provider to generate feedback). We don't claim ownership of your content and don't use it to train AI models.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Danger zone, which permanently removes your data and cancels any active subscription. We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated output will be accurate or fit for any particular purpose.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Applyze isn't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use Applyze after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Connecticut, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law principles.
